A Mini-Adventure in Rin
This is probably a kooky idea, but I'm waxing nostalgic...
I looked for something similar to this, probably not thoroughly enough but... I just love Pre-Searing Ascalon. I bought Guild Wars on the day it went gold and so the Prophecies campaign was my first and ever look into the Guild Wars world. There's nothing quite like Ashford and Ascalon before it got blown to smithereens.
I thought it'd be absolutely wonderful if there was a mini-adventure people could buy from the online store or even on a single CD where you get to explore Rin/Drascir and maybe follow Rurik or even Adelbern as they grow up there.
You never see much of Rin, yet in Ascalon there's the Rin blade and the like. We could possibly follow it so recently as to when Bonfaaz messes it up. There was so much attention to detail in Pre-Searing. Falling leaves, butterflies and stone walls, the look of perpetual autumn. You could almost smell the sharp, cool air. And even less is known of Drascir save for the lore of the tombs.

How about add this to the existing prophecies? I know some people have suggested adding Piken Square

No it wasn't. If you go into the northlands in pre searing, you will find Piken Square, it just isn't an outpost.
I like the idea of small expansions to the game. Just so long as they don't take priority over the new campaigns. Also, I'd prefer it if it were an addon to the game, and not a pre-searing addon so that I could take existing characters there.

pre searing ascalon was amazing, i loved everything about it from the graphics to the quest and wished there was a way to revisit it with my fully leveled characters. It would be great if this area could be made revisitable with new quests, and actually I know this is crazy now but I still have gwens cape and flute, I have kept it the entire time thinking it would be good for something somewhere in prophecies, I know I could just get it again and would delete it now but its just sitting on one of my pves I use for storage.Like the idea.

It always was disappointing that I could never see these places before the searing. I'd love to see those places before they became Charr grilled. (Bad pun)

rin is supposed to be the capital city so it can be HUGE, much like the cantha is in most places... you could almost fashion a whole expansion around rin it would be great, you know with thugs and shit throughout the city and your chars running around living their lives BEFORE the searing... that would be great cause currently tyrian charecters were just ploped into ascalon city with no back story really, this could be a wonderful addition

Cool idea! pre and post Ascalon needs to be expanded! I really would like to see more and do more stuff there! Post searing i can finaly see the grass coming back with water where years before i saw only sand... or is it just me? It's also about time that Ascalon started to rebuild!I dont care if its only for characters who completed Prophesys... it would be lovely to see that some homes and the wall are being rebuilt.

This is a nice idea for a low-cost expansion pack. I'd also like to see Ascalon recover after the Charr once the Titans have been defeated.
In fact, I'd like to find out what happens to Cantha after we kill Shiro. And what happens to Nightfall once Abaddon is gone.

Amen to that. It's sad that we only get to see more of Ascalon after the Charr pull the tag marked "drama". I'm proposing it be independent of the campaigns and more of an exploration and less battle-intensive thing. Maybe it could even be run offline on those downtimes? It's just sad that whenever we visit new places it's "OMG, you have to help us! We've bloweded up! D:! MONSTERS!!"
